A brief new post to document the first outdoor flight of my V911, which I first posted about last November. I’ve had to wait a while for some decent weather, which we finally had this past Bank Holiday weekend. I know the V911 can handle a reasonably strong wind, but I wasn’t sure if I could as I’m still learning.
Back in June 2012, just after E3, I wrote a post about how the new Tomb Raider game seemed to bear striking similarities to Naughty Dog’s Uncharted series. Later, in December 2012, a preview appeared on the PC Gamer website which was less than flattering. It referred to there being “a lack of meaningful interaction” and also made comparisons to the Uncharted series. Having just recently completed the single-player portion of the game, I’m now in a better position to comment.
Just a quick post to have a bit of a rant.
I have to say, I think Capcom’s
reasons excuses for not bringing Resident Evil Revelations to the PlayStation Vita are some of the weakest I’ve ever read.
Replying to a comment on the US PlayStation Blog, Capcom’s Product Manager Mike Lunn says:
3DS and PS-vita infrastructure let alone developing games for them are extremely different beasts. Even just the screens as you mention are completely different resolutions/functions.
This comment looks particularly ridiculous when you consider that they are bringing the game to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, two systems which are pretty different from each other, let alone the Nintendo 3DS. Don’t even get me started on the screen resolution thing; if that’s an issue for Capcom’s developers, they may as well give up now.
Interesting news broke yesterday that GAME are apparently going to offer Reward Points for your PSN Trophies and XBL Achievements. On the face of it, this is great news for gamers in the UK. But it also raises the question of what – if anything – they plan to do about those accounts which aren’t entirely legitimate.
Yes, yes, I know… another helicopter-related post. Sorry, but these things are addictive! This time, we have the WLtoys V911 which is (so I’ve read) a Chinese knock-off of the Align Trex 100X. Apparently the Trex 100X costs five times more and doesn’t fly as well. My reason for buying this particular helicopter is that it is said to fly pretty well outdoors, even if there’s some wind about – that’s something none of my other models will do.
