A brief new post to document the first outdoor flight of my V911, which I first posted about last November. I’ve had to wait a while for some decent weather, which we finally had this past Bank Holiday weekend. I know the V911 can handle a reasonably strong wind, but I wasn’t sure if I could as I’m still learning.
Over all it went fairly well. I only crashed once, and the heli was undamaged. The following day was calmer still, and I got some excellent flying time in at higher altitudes. Unfortunately, I had no-one to operate the camera, so that went unrecorded.
Still, in this video you can get a feel for just how nippy the helicopter is when you have the room – and this is still set on the lower responsiveness setting!
